Home

Tomorrow I close on my new home. While out walking the dog today, I had the first real realization that I was about to undergo a major change in my lifestyle. My stomach turns slightly. I believe this is because I am not a sentimental person. I don't usually miss things and I don't know why. Thinking about it now; however, I am going to miss my apartment. I was married while here to Rachelle, who makes my life absolutely terrific. We have walked many miles with SoFee, both around our neighborhood and down at the park. Rachelle has made some incredible meals (and I guess I have too) and we played a lot of Yahtzee. She had our place looking amazing and I felt visitors always appreciated the decor. We had a garden each year we were here.
What is great about our new home is that we own it, allowing us to make things the way we want them. We are going to put a new kitchen in and restore all the downstairs walls first. I am excited about the experience. Honestly, I don't know how to do many home improvement duties but I think I can figure some projects out. Trial and error, why the hell not.

Rachelle,
Good luck and hard work to us on our new home!

pictures of aquarium

I wanted to get a few pictures of my aquarium up before i had to move it. Who knows how it will react in a new environment.

Goodbye, goodbye

We spent all Saturday packing. Part of the process was throwing out the stuff I no longer wanted. First to go was this hat. I found it in the gym in Seneca Falls, New York while I was cleaning up after a basketball tournament. This was probably around 2004. It was a Syracuse Orangeman hat and I was always kind of a fan because Syracuse was the closest big school around and they won the basketball national championship while I was up there. I won't forget Carmelo Anthony.

Well now its in the trash.

Rachelle and I made a trip to the Goodwill located in the center of Norristown. Goodbye shoes that were too big and I paid too much for them. Goodbye 3D puzzle of Notre Dame, you were cool, but not that cool. Goodbye pathology textbook, I hope you find a new home in the ghetto of Norristown.
